Pin or mute Google Meet participants

Pivot a participant

To view a specific participant, pin them to your screen.

  1. In a meeting, tap the screen and so that phone call controls appear.
  2. At the lesser right of the participant's tile, tap More options More and thenPin Pin (keep).

Optional: To unpin someone, at the bottom right corner of their screen, tap unpin .

Mute a participant'south microphone

If there is feedback or groundwork dissonance in a video phone call, you lot may want to mute other participant's microphones.

Eligibility

For video calls organized through a personal account, only the video call moderator can mute other participants.

For video calls organized through a Google Workspace account, a participant from the domain that organized the meeting can mute another participant, if necessary.

For video calls organized through an Education account, only meeting creators, calendar event owners, or people who prepare a meeting in an in-room hardware device tin mute other participants.

Once in a video call, to mute a participant:

  1. On the meridian left, tap the meeting name.
  2. On the "People" tab, side by side to a participant, tap Menu Moreand then Mute "".

Tip: For privacy reasons, you cannot unmute some other person. Ask the participant to unmute their sound. To mute or unmute yourself, tap Mute "".

Dial-in participants

For paid Google Workspace editions just.

  • Phone participants printing *6 to mute or unmute their phone.
  • If someone else mutes you lot, you can only unmute if you lot press *6.
